The U School uses digital portfolios to document, analyze, and reflect on children's developmental trajectories and learning experiences in the classroom. Specifically, teachers use the online platform "StoryPark" to document learning and as a qualitative assessment tool to inform child-directed curriculum development. The portfolios are shared directly with families and children to provide a community building opportunity, bridging the gap between school and home. As part of an ongoing professional learning plan for staff, this course will introduce the role of StoryPark in the context of the Ubuntu Communities Approach as used at the U School.
